IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWWWWWNNNNNNNN
You're welcome. I hope the earworm sticks with you for the whole weekend. Why?
Because the October 2016 Activity Challenge ENDS when Monday ends!
Despite the crappy forecast, find ways to be deliberately active this weekend! No, shopping in Khol's doesn't count (you know who I'm talking about......).
Here, then, are the standings for TEAMS as of 1:30 FRIDAY AFTERNOON. Second and Third place are basically WIDE OPEN for contention. Would be fun to see a 'silent' team swoop in and take it!

WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE???
I woke up this morning to discover that we're in the last full week of October!!! Whaaaaat?
This challenge has been quite interesting, from my perspective. We've had several teams trading places up and down the board, and a few who seem to have solidly locked themselves in.
But LET's NOT let them stay there!!!
In these final 7 days of the challenge, let's get out there and be active!
I'm still missing information from a few teams for weeks one and two. That said, here are some numbers:
Week 1 Total Minutes = 26875 = 447.92 hours.
Week 2 Total Minutes = 27006 = 450.10 hours.
WOW.
As far as days of the week go, Saturday has been the most active, while Fridays show the least amount of activity.
Here are the standings as of NOON on 10/24. If you haven't sent me your numbers, please do so! We'll be wrapping up late during the first week of November.
Thanks again,
Gene

Nearly done with Week TWO!!
Numbers are rolling in every day. I try to reply to each Captain, and I'm getting some good feedback. Here's what I just received...
" We are actually doing pretty well-this week should even be better than last week. I saw your e-mail late as to letting you know the hours on Monday-I gave them to you on Friday. I feel really good exercising more than I normally do. [One of our members] even gave us a challenge within the group to lift weights one hour a week, so that’s lots of fun. I hope everyone else is having as much fun as we are."
For me, this is what the challenge is all about!!
I'm still missing numbers from SEVEN teams for week one, but as of RIGHT NOW, this is where we all stand for WEEK ONE.
Keep up the great work!!!!

First Three Days
I AM IMPRESSED!!!!
In the middle of last week, we only had about 5 teams signed up. As of 3pm on the 4th, we have a total of TWENTY SIX TEAMS!!! Check the last blog post for a list. I'll still accept teams this week (I'd hate to turn anyone away who wants to get active, ya know???)
Some clarification: we're tracking TIME this time around, not steps or miles. Captains, if you can put minutes (just the number) in the spreadsheet, it will make filling them all in a bit easier for me.
In some places, it says that mowing the lawn doesn't count. I was challenged on that, and was convinced that using a push mower SHOULD count, and so now it DOES COUNT. HOORAY! (shopping still doesn't.....).

If you have comments or questions, even polite challenges from one team to another, please feel free to use the comment section below.
**Please keep in mind that at no time during this event will I be trying to sell you anything, make offers, etc. SO....if you see those types of comments (almost always SPAM), please ignore them. I'll do my best to come in and clear them out, but please don't fall for anything that shows up down there. This blogging platform is free, so.....not as secure as the pay-as-you-go platforms. Thank you.**
Alright!! Get moving! The weeks run from SATURDAY TO FRIDAY, so please be sure to get your numbers in to your Captains on Monday for the previous week so that they can get them to me!!!
Cheers!
Gene
